In this role, you will lead design execution efforts, including:
- Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer fired equipment suitable for design needs for reliable, cost-effective, and efficient operation.
- Prepare equipment cost estimating and manhours for FEED and Detailed Design phases.
- Prepare fired equipment data sheets and technical specifications for bid and purchase.
- Perform bid clarifications/meetings with bidders and prepare technical bid evaluations/summaries for equipment.
- Participate in client project meetings and conduct meetings with the fired equipment team working on the project.
- Participate in design & model reviews, HAZOP reviews, constructability reviews, etc.
- Develop construction sub‑contracts for fired equipment and other mechanical equipment.
- Participate in on‑site start‑up and commissioning work on an as‑needed basis.
- Attend pre‑inspection meetings, inspections, and testing on fired equipment in vendor’s shop.
The Mechanical Engineering Department is a global team that delivers high quality, on‑time design and services projects in the areas of Power, Gas, Fuels & Chemicals, Water and Waste Water, Data Centers, and Mining. The department manages everything mechanically related to process and power – from conventional combined heat and power to solar/renewable, LNG, ammonia, fertilizer, as well as specialized HVAC, fire protection, piping and thermal performance estimating and testing.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in power, LNG, gas processing, mining, manufacturing, or water treatment industries.
- Ability to execute projects from early conceptual through detailed engineering to start‑up and operations support.
- Proficiency in reading detailed project drawings and blueprints and interpreting technical information.
- Knowledge of material and component selection of fired equipment and auxiliaries, complex packaged equipment systems, and similar systems.
- Experience troubleshooting fired equipment and managing small services engineering projects.
- Familiarity with engineered equipment shop inspections.
- Ability to write fired equipment ASME and API overlay specifications.
- Codes/standards experience: ASME Code (Sections I, VIII Divisions 1 &
2), NFPA 85‑87, EPA emissions regulations and test methods, ASME STS‑1; API 521, 537, 560, 573, 936, and other relevant fired equipment standards for purchasing and inspection.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program, or equivalent engineering experience.
- Minimum five years of related work experience.
- Valid active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries.

- This position is typically an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use; focus and attention to detail are essential.
- Physical tasks may be required during site visits, including crouching, grasping, and extended standing/walking.
