Staff Project Engineer/Geologist/Scientist

This role is based in our Fort Collins or Denver, CO offices and focuses on environmental permitting, hydrologic and hydrogeological studies, subsurface investigations, remediation, and monitoring projects for a major Oil and Gas Operator in Northeast Colorado.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Project coordination and management of field and office tasks
- Report writing, including data interpretation, GIS figure generation, and deliverable preparation
- Field support for soil and groundwater site investigation and remediation projects
- Operation and maintenance of soil and groundwater remediation systems
- Soil and groundwater monitoring and sampling
- Data evaluation and collaboration with GIS team
- Daily communication with project team and clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strict adherence to health and safety procedures, attention to detail, and strong work ethic
- Excellent organizational skills and flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment physical and drug screen, if required
- Bachelor’s degree in physical science, geology or engineering (required)
- 4 to 7 years of experience in natural resources consulting and/or Oil and Gas sector experience in Colorado (preferred)
- OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER and/or associated yearly 8‑hour refresher course (preferred)
- Experience with soil and groundwater sampling protocol (preferred)
- Experience with operation and maintenance of field sampling and monitoring equipment (preferred)
- Experience with contaminated land investigations, remediation, Phase I/II ESA, RCRA, and USCS borehole logging (preferred)
- Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD – $80,300.00 - $ Annually
- Locations in MN, OH, VT, & various CA, NY – $73,000.00 - $ Annually
