Position DescriptionCivil Grid’s Data team uncovers and manages the foundational datasets underlying the Civil Grid app. In this role, you’ll be a key early hire for a new group within the Data team laser-focused on delivering insights from engineering record drawings and as-builts.
Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate digitization tasks and workflows, ensuring alignment on timelines and priorities with stakeholders.
- Provide detailed markup and interpretation of utility engineering records and as-builts.
- Conduct quality assurance on digitized deliverables.
- Manage subcontractors, internal teams, and customers to facilitate smooth project execution and process scaling.
- Collaborate closely with Data and Customer Success leadership to refine operational processes.
- 2+ years experience in project management within subsurface utility engineering (SUE).
- Preferred:
Additional background as a field technician and/or utilities research coordinator. - Proficiency with project management tools and techniques (e.g., task tracking, stakeholder reporting, timeline management).
- Strong ability to interpret civil engineering plans, record drawings, and as-builts.
- Comfortable with GIS and/or CAD software (ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, Micro Station).
- Process-driven and always looking to optimize.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision.
