About the Role

VCA Structural has an immediate opening for a hands‑on Design Engineer to join our Denver office. You’ll work with an enviable list of top‑tier developers and architectural clients on large‑scale new construction projects across wood, steel, and concrete structures.

You’ll gain exposure to high‑profile, ground‑up developments — including mixed‑use podium and wrap projects, commercial, hospitality, and multi‑family housing — while continuing to grow your portfolio with completed projects visible across the region.

What You’ll Do

• Perform structural design and prepare construction documents for wood, steel, and concrete projects.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, CAD/BIM Technicians, and Structural Observers.
• Develop creative design solutions and complete calculations with accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate with architects, developers, and contractors.
• Receive one‑on‑one mentorship from senior engineers and take part in company‑supported professional development.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of structural design experience (wood, concrete, and steel) on residential and commercial projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• E.I.T. certification required; intent to obtain P.E. license at first eligibility.
• Proficiency with software such as Bentley Structural System, RISA, ETABS, Enercalc, Revit, and RAM Concept.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
• Desire to learn, collaborate, and grow within a supportive engineering environment.
