Job Description & How to Apply Below
Maybell Quantum is redefining the future of computing. As a venture-backed quantum hardware innovator experiencing rapid growth, we’re building technology that will transform industries for decades to come. Quantum computers will be as transformative to the next 30 years as the internet was to the last 30. Our team is creating the hardware foundation to make this revolution possible.

We are seeking an execution-oriented Vice President (VP) of Product to lead our product, engineering and software functions. This is a critical leadership role at the intersection of our groundbreaking cryogenic systems, business strategy, and customer needs. You will be responsible for translating our revolutionary innovations into a cohesive, market-leading product ecosystem that our customers love and rely on.

You will own the user experience, from physical hardware interaction to the software interface. You will be executing our product vision, the owner of our integrated roadmap, and the leader who ensures we build and ship exceptional products with velocity and quality.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

Execution & Roadmap Management:

• Own the integrated product roadmap, balancing hardware development cycles with agile software releases for our control and monitoring platform.

• Work across product, engineering and software teams to execute on a holistic product vision: taking product from concept into customer hands

• Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring tight alignment between hardware and software teams from concept and requirements gathering to launch and  seamless transition of product into production

Define and analyze key performance indicators to make data-driven decisions that balance innovation, quality, and technical debt.

• Refine our long-term product vision that solidifies Maybell as the leader in quantum-enabling cryogenic systems.

• Develop a deep understanding for our customers in national labs, academia, and the private sector by understanding their experimental workflows, cryogenic pain points, and future needs.

• Translate our core cryogenic and control systems technology into clear customer value propositions and a coherent, integrated product roadmap.

Technical Leadership:

• Lead and scale our teams responsible for the new product development

• Partner closely with our cryo-research platform to ensure seamless integration and deliver a world-class user experience.

• Champion best practices for developing hardware, including robust testing, simulation, and deployment strategies.

Team & Cross-Functional Leadership:

• Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to the overall strategy and direction of the company.

• Recruit, hire, and develop world-class talent across both product management, engineering and software.

• Foster a collaborative, transparent, and high-performance culture where engineering, R&D and software teams work as one unit.

Who You Are (Qualifications)

Required:

• 15+ years of experience in product management in a hardware company, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

• Direct experience managing hardware teams is a must.

• A proven track record of successfully launching and scaling complex hardware/software systems (e.g., scientific instrumentation, robotics, IoT, advanced industrial equipment).

• A strong technical background, with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), Physics, or a related hard science.

• Exceptional ability to grasp complex technical concepts and distill them into a clear, customer-centric product strategy.

• Outstanding communication skills, with proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.

• Previous experience in a high-growth, venture-backed startup environment, ideally from A/B to C/D

Preferred:

• Experience in the quantum computing, scientific instrumentation, or semiconductor industries.

• Familiarity with cryogenics, vacuum systems, or RF/microwave engineering is a plus.

• An advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant technical or scientific field
