Engineering Development Technician - SV Engineering - Admin

Overview

York Space Systems LLC is seeking a full-time Engineering Development Technician. The role supports the development of new capabilities by assisting in the build and test of prototype systems. Primary responsibilities include working with/learning from more experienced technicians in complex mechanical assemblies, soldering, harness build, inspection, test, etc. Further responsibilities include the inspection, assembly, integration and operational checkout of flight hardware.

• Assist in the build and test of prototype systems under supervision of more experienced technicians.
• Work on complex mechanical assemblies, soldering, harness build, inspection and test.
• Inspect, assemble, integrate and perform operational checkout of flight hardware.
• Learn and adapt to changing work assignments and new techniques.

• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing work assignments
• Experience interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings
• Comfortable operating within the Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency:
  Electrical, harness and mechanical build experience
• Communication skills (written and oral)
• Mechanical aptitude; ability to utilize hand tools and precision tools
• 0-3 years experience
• Lift and carry 50 lbs
• Climb ladders, stairs and work in restrictive spaces

• IPC & J-STD Certifications
• 2 Year Technical Degree
• Experienced Forklift Operations
• Experience with Overhead Crane Operations
