Job OverviewThe Lead Completions Engineering Technician will assist the Completions Engineers and other Engineering Technicians with all tasks performed by the group. This includes updating and maintaining information databases and gathering data from internal and external sources. The position will be involved in the preparation of project information and presentations for management meetings and conferences, supporting cross‑discipline collaboration and clear communication.
Responsibilities- Acts as a liaison between leadership and the team, ensuring smooth information flow, preparing reports, presentations, and documentation to support informed decisions.
- Confirm accuracy of well, cost, and production data, take appropriate action on changes, and communicate required corrections.
- Assist in preparation of presentations for submission.
- Build reports with various data sources as requested by the division.
- Collect, build reports and/or visuals, and analyze data.
- Understand data sources, workflow, and functionality of internal apps to provide support for others in the division.
- Initiate and develop more accurate and reliable data analyses and reporting methodologies.
- Liaison with internal teams (Headquarters, Investor Relations, Operations, Engineering, Accounting, Information Systems).
- Responsible for crafting internal communication to convey a clear and concise message.
- Provide initial direction and continual communication to the division on objectives, expectations, and timelines relating to projects, conferences, and presentations.
- Ensure regulatory requirements are met in states of operation (WY, ND).
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and appointments.
- Design and order apparel and other handouts.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in duties as described. Must have strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience in Access and ability to read or write SQL is a strong plus. Must possess good interpersonal skills and can work in a fast‑paced, multi‑discipline environment. Strong math skills highly preferred. A high school diploma or GED is required;
a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Proficient in well data software and data analysis tools (Well View, Aries, Spotfire, Power BI).
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Desire to improve and streamline processes and data quality within the organization.
- Basic understanding of oil and gas terminology and industry standards.
Strong organization and time management, communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving, confidentiality and discretion, adaptability, data mining, building meaningful reports, relationship building, and project management are essential.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience. Min $76,000.00 / Max $.
