Electrical Estimator

RK Industries is looking for a skilled estimator who can deliver accurate, detailed bids while driving value for our clients. In this role, you'll work closely with our Preconstruction and Operations teams, analyze project documents, perform takeoffs, fill scope gaps, and partner with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive and complete proposals. Provide complete and accurate trade‑specific estimates. Assemble Bid Tab with estimates and vendor/sub quotes. Coordinate and clarify scope internally and externally. Identify value engineering opportunities and fill in minor design/score gaps.

• Must have solid understanding of estimation process.
• Review project documents.
• Identify scope of work.
• Material, labor, and equipment takeoffs.
• Walk difficult projects.
• Identify and document difficult/non‑standard conditions.
• Coordinate with Preconstruction Team to identify and fill scope gaps.
• Clarify scope with General Contractor and Engineer.
• Obtain quotes and coordinate/qualify scope with vendors and subcontractors.
• Completely assemble the Bid Tab in a timely manner.
• Provide value engineering ideas.
• Verify estimate accuracy by comparing data versus similar bids.
• File electronic documents.
• Participate in turnover process to Operations.
• Liaison between Estimating and Field Operations.
• Follow up on past awards.

• Indirect supervision.
• Requires the use of advanced techniques and knowledge within his/her function.
• Applies diversified knowledge of applicable principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments.
• Makes decisions independently regarding complexities and methods.
• Supervision and guidance related largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts and policy matters.
• Liaison to groups within and outside of his/her organization with responsibility to act independently regarding matters pertaining to his/her function.

• Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.
• Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
• Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
• Work in all types of weather.
• Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
• Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
