Optical Transport Engineer

Job Overview

Optical Transport Engineer – 3‑month contract (CTH). Provide advanced support for optical transport systems, troubleshoot fiber and photonics issues, manage software upgrades, collaborate on IP/Optical convergence, and contribute to automation initiatives.

Denver, CO (other locations available: Mt. Laurel, NJ; Philadelphia, PA). Base pay: $55.00–$60.00 per hour.

• Strong expertise in Optical Transport domain technologies: WDM, OTN, MEF, IP/MPLS, IP/Optical convergence.
• Hands‑on experience with Ciena optical platforms (e.g., 6500 series) and Nokia IXR or 1830 platforms or similar vendor solutions.
• Experience with associated optical management systems and proficiency with optical test platforms.

• Experience in optical test automation or network automation.

• Provide advanced support for optical transport systems, including troubleshooting fiber and photonics issues.
• Manage and optimize software upgrades for optical platforms.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless IP/Optical convergence.
• Utilize optical test platforms for diagnostics and performance validation.
• (Optional) Contribute to automation initiatives for optical testing or network operations.
