BIM Designer

Are you passionate about 3D modeling, Revit design, and technology integration? This role offers the chance to apply your BIM expertise on projects involving structured cabling, audiovisual, security, DAS, and smart building technologies. You’ll work closely with design managers, engineers, and project teams to deliver high-quality drawings, renderings, and coordinated models that bring complex projects to life.

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, BIM
  360, Navisworks, and other platforms.
• Create drawings for structured cabling systems, OSP infrastructure, AV, security systems, and low-voltage disciplines.
• Assist in developing and maintaining Revit / AutoCAD standards, templates, libraries, and workflows.
• Provide 3D renderings of conference rooms, data centers, and technology spaces for proposals and client presentations.
• Attend BIM coordination meetings and collaborate with architects, developers, MEP consultants, and trade partners to resolve design clashes and align on project intent.
• Perform electronic takeoffs and use Bluebeam Revu and Autodesk tools to support project estimating.
• Support design group efforts outside direct modeling work, assisting with CAD tasks, documentation, and proposal packages.
• Maintain awareness of project Design Intent, BIM Execution Plans, and schedules to meet deadlines.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality deliverables.
• Stay current on BIM technology trends, software updates, and industry best practices.

• 3–5 years of drafting / design experience in technology, IT, electronics, security, or related industries.
• Post‑secondary education in Electronics, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, BIM
  360, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of IP networks, low‑voltage electronics, power, and communications.
• Ability to produce clear, professional, and visually polished drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multi‑tasking abilities in fast‑paced environments.
• Analytical and problem‑solving mindset; motivated self‑starter eager to learn and adopt new technologies.

• Familiarity with access control, video surveillance (CCTV), intrusion detection, servers / storage, and MS SQL databases.
• Experience with Microsoft Visio.
• Field experience in a construction or integration environment.

• Must be able to clearly communicate with clients and colleagues.
• Desk-based role with computer and drafting software, with occasional site visits.
• Professional office environment, clean and well‑lit, with low to moderate noise.
• Occasional travel may be required.
