Advanced Facilities Group (AFG)The AFG combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into one high‑performing team focused on cutting‑edge work for large Industrial, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of the Advanced Facilities team you will work on the most advanced construction projects across the country, growing your career alongside a diverse team of industry professionals.
Key Role Responsibilities – Core- Learn and actively participate in all aspects of the company's safety and quality plans, demonstrating commitment to an injury‑free environment.
- Complete entry level mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
- Develop budgetary M/E estimates using an automated M/E estimating system.
- Review mechanical and electrical options as part of the preconstruction process and complete systems analysis for selected projects.
- Develop mechanical and electrical scopes of work used to coordinate during the bid process.
- Assist in bid analysis and provide input during the subcontractor selection process.
- Develop sequencing requirements of various systems and provide solutions to meet schedule requirements.
- Identify potential quality problems and assist in developing constructability review reports.
- Perform job inspections to ensure specifications and expectations are met, and work is completed in a quality and timely manner.
- Assist with the shop drawing/submittal process to comply with contract documents.
- Generate, issue, and execute the Commissioning Plan for assigned projects.
- Interact independently with project teams regarding work product deliverables.
- Produce and explain work product to clients, representing JE Dunn professionally.
- Review compliance shop drawings and submittals from subcontractors prior to submission to the design team.
- Lead the mechanical/electrical coordination process.
- Participate in all construction phases from startup to closeout.
- Develop equipment schedules.
- Perform site inspections and submit reports.
- Create constructability reviews.
- Participate in job pursuit presentations representing mechanical/electrical expertise.
- Perform work accurately, completely, and timely.
- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office.
- Read and understand plans, drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in basic JE Dunn construction M/E tools and software.
- Knowledge of means and methods of construction management.
- Build relationships and collaborate within a team.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering or related field (Required).
- Equivalent relevant experience considered.
- 2+ years construction and/or engineering experience (Required).
