Dewberry is seeking a Water Resources
Senior Project Manager for our growing water resources engineering practice within our Denver, CO office. This is an opportunity for an individual with technical experience and business acumen to become part of a renowned team of professionals working in a productive environment and applying the latest technology to a wide variety of water resources engineering projects. This position will encompass all aspects of water resources engineering services with an emphasis on resilience, and will include project management, sub-consultant management, quality control, marketing and client interface.

Additionally, this position will require the development and review of technical reports, proposals, contract documents, resources studies, computer modeling and data analysis.

Dewberry offers a comprehensive and very competitive package of insurance programs to regular full-time employees and their eligible dependents the first of the month following their date of hire. Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $170,000-$220,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.

Responsibilities
  • Manage contracts, project scope, progress reporting, schedule, resources, and budget. Train, coach and mentor water resources department staff.
  • Lead business development and marketing with local client base and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Lead all interaction with sub-consultants for water resources projects.
  • Perform technical calculations and review of work done by water resources department staff.
  • Prepare scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
  • Assist with proposals to provide professional services.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required. (Master's Degree preferred)
  • 15+ years of escalating professional experience in planning, design and construction of water infrastructure; however exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered.
  • PE License in Colorado is required.
  • Project Management expertise in local, state and federal level contracts.
  • High competency levels in multiple engineering disciplines, integrated modeling, hydrology, hydraulics, master planning, feasibility studies, stormwater design, conveyance systems design, hydraulic structures, watershed assessment, stormwater management and utility development, and stream restoration and reclamation design.
  • Experience with hydrologic, hydraulic, hydrodynamic modeling and engineering design programs such as HEC, SMS, CUHP, SWMM, UDFCD Design Spreadsheets, and others.
  • Experience managing a team of professionals with a wide array of skill sets, work with project teams and provide planning, technical leadership, and coordination with supporting technical disciplines to complete integrated design.
  • Proven ability to effectively achieve positive results in marketing and business development including experience preparing technical and cost proposals for municipal and private clients. Experience in Colorado Front Range clients and projects required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
