Industrial Project Engineer - Supplier Recovery

• Act as primary on‑site representative at delinquent supplier locations across North America.
• Stabilize industrial processes and restore production transparency.
• Execute recovery initiatives to align supplier output with Safran’s operational requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Purchasing, Procurement, NPI, Quality, and Supplier Performance Management.
• Root Cause Analysis & Diagnosis: Conduct deep‑drive assessments using tools such as 8D, Pareto Analysis, and Value Stream Mapping to identify bottlenecks and systemic failures.
• Recovery Plan Development (“Get Well” Plans): Negotiate and validate formal recovery plans that are credible, time‑bound, and include measurable milestones for backlog reduction.
• WIP Visibility & Monitoring: Implement tracking mechanisms to provide real‑time visibility into Work in Progress (WIP) and ensure supplier commitments are backed by physical inventory and production evidence.

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience working with Aerospace Manufacturing.
• Proven experience in supplier recovery, industrial project management, or manufacturing operations.
• Mastery of industrial engineering tools (Value Stream Mapping, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
• Strong understanding of production processes and backlog recovery strategies.
• Ability to lead complex recovery projects under high‑pressure, time‑sensitive conditions.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence senior leadership at supplier organizations.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% across North America.

Salary Range: $150,. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job‑related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
