Position: Sr Structural Engineer (Data Centers)

Senior Structural Engineer (Data Centers)

Jacobs is hiring a Senior Structural Engineer to work on a variety of data‑center projects, including new builds, retrofits, and colocations across the United States. The role is based in the United States; candidates are encouraged to be located near a Jacobs office but remote candidates are welcome.

Base pay range: $ – $ per year.

Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis, create computer models, and design member and foundation members.
  • Prepare material take‑offs, scheduling, and miscellaneous calculations for estimating.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams and coordinate design work with Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
  • Contribute to project delivery on schedule and within budget while maintaining high quality and client expectations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Eight or more years of professional experience in structural engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer; ability to become registered in additional states.
  • Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, S3D) and structural analysis software (RISA, STAAD).
  • Proficiency with ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, Building Codes, and other industry design codes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Teams, and remote coordination.
  • Travel to client sites 10%–20% of the time.
Preferred Experience
  • Master of Science in Engineering.
  • Industrial‑metal or heavy‑industrial project experience (casting, rolling, etc.).
  • Leadership experience delivering commitments on schedule and on budget.
