Bridge Engineer – Colorado DivisionAs a Bridge Engineer, you will work on vehicular bridges (simple and complex), pedestrian bridges, retaining walls, and other transportation‑related structures. You will gain exposure to the full life‑cycle of structures—planning, design, construction, and in‑service phases—and have the opportunity to mentor junior staff.
LocationFront Range of Colorado. We welcome candidates from Greeley, Fort Collins, Johnstown, and the Denver Metro area.
Impact You Will Have- Serve as lead engineer on bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects
- Mentor junior staff and aid in the growth of the structural team
- Prepare and review structural and geometrical calculations for bridge design projects
- Assume responsibility for assigned design calculations and plans, ensuring adequate independent QC reviews
- Manage the compilation and coordination of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items per DOT standards
- Coordinate tasks with the Project Manager
- Lead structural designers on bridge design and rehabilitation projects
- BS in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline (MS is a plus)
- PE License in Colorado or ability to obtain through reciprocity
- 5 to 10+ years of bridge design experience
- Experience working with CDOT and/or municipalities
- Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules
- Proven experience performing complex analysis and design
- Ability to assemble a complete design package and construction documents for assigned elements or projects
- Proficient with structural design and analysis software;
Leap Bridge, LUSUS, Midas, and Open Bridge are a plus - Excellent communication and client‑relations skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Colorado Pay Range: $80,000—$105,000 USD (displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act). The final agreed‑upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary, overtime, and bonuses.
