Structural Design Engineer (EIT) | 1-4 Years | Denver Metro Area (Hybrid + Flex Start)
About The OpportunityFor more than three decades, this structural engineering consultancy has built a strong reputation along the Colorado Front Range and beyond. It’s a small, principal-led firm known for practical, constructability-focused design and for client relationships that go back decades, with much of its work coming from repeat clients. The culture is collaborative and team-oriented, with a real focus on helping engineers grow, which shows in an average employee tenure of over 11 years.
They’re looking for a Design Engineer who’s ready to build broad, hands‑on experience across a wide range of building types, from early concept through construction.
- Design and analyze building structures in concrete, steel, post-tensioned concrete, wood, masonry, and cold‑formed steel
- Work on multifamily, hospitality, mixed‑use, education, retail, and senior living projects
- Prepare calculations, drawings, and details, coordinating closely with BIM staff
- Assist senior engineers in coordinating with architects and contractors
- Support construction administration, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and site visits
- Learn from experienced engineers and principals through hands‑on mentorship and weekly technical training
- BS in Civil or Architectural Engineering
- 1-4 years of structural design experience, ideally on commercial buildings
- EIT preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD, REVIT, RAM, RISA, or similar structural analysis software preferred
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
