The National Western Center (NWC) is a reimagined 250‑acre campus in Denver, Colorado. It is the new home of the National Western Stock Show and Colorado State University’s Spur campus.
Event IT TechnicianWe are looking for an Event IT Technician responsible for preparing all client and exhibitor event needs. You will set up equipment safely, educate users, assist during events, inventory and maintain equipment, and coordinate with partners and departments to ensure smooth operations.
What you will do- Receive event IT orders and prepare equipment prior to or in coordination with events.
- Educate clients on the use of equipment and resolve any issues.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, set reorder levels, and manage orders.
- Organize storage areas, ensuring they are secure and items are labeled.
- Set all cables and equipment, activate lines, and de‑activate and strike equipment after events.
- Track hours requested by clients for billing purposes.
- Monitor connectivity and scheduled work on infrastructure, and assist with reporting.
- Interact directly with clients, attendees, and exhibitors requiring event IT support.
- Exceptional organizational and preparation skills for multiple events.
- Ability to create and maintain efficient event set‑up and strike processes.
- Strong problem‑solving under pressure and effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and situations.
- Experience in arena, convention, or stadium settings is helpful.
- Physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills.
- You embrace a startup environment and take ownership of tasks.
- You are detail‑ and results‑oriented, an entrepreneurial self‑starter, and a skilled problem solver.

Compensation range$25.00–$27.00 per hour.

The National Western Center is expanding with new indoor and outdoor venues, an event center and championship arenas. The center is two miles from downtown Denver and adjacent to the RiNo Art District, accessible via I‑70 from Denver International Airport.
