Revenue Accounting Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $140,000 to $180,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end revenue accounting operations, including booking, reconciliation, and journal processing
• Review and approve revenue entries to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
• Lead monthly revenue estimation processes in coordination with Production, Marketing, and Midstream teams
• Deliver timely and accurate revenue reports for oil, gas, and NGL at both field and corporate levels
• Manage severance tax filings and regulatory submissions across multiple jurisdictions

Requirements:

• Demonstrate 7+ years of recent, relevant experience in accounting and financial management
• Prior experience managing accounting teams and overseeing complex workflows
• Use ERP systems tailored to the oil and gas industry with confidence and efficiency
• Apply deep understanding of revenue recognition standards, including ASC 606
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and auditors

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Bring a strong background in the oil and gas industry, with hands-on revenue accounting experience
• Maintain knowledge of SOX compliance and internal control best practices
• Resolve complex accounting issues through collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Support financial modeling by supplying accurate pricing and production data for reserves valuation
