Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the accounting organization.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, lender requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and consolidation processes with accuracy and timeliness.
- Own the preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reports.
- Collaborate with the CFO on financial strategy, capital structure, and growth initiatives (e.g., acquisitions, dispositions, financing).
- Partner with Operations, Asset Management, and HR on forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing accounting team.
- Implement training, tools, and systems to drive efficiency and accuracy across the organization.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and service to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA required; MBA or Master’s in Accounting/Finance preferred.
- 10 + years progressive accounting/finance leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior corporate accounting leadership role.
- Experience in hospitality, real estate, or multi-entity portfolio businesses strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of leading consolidations, audits, and complex accounting environments.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and compliance.
- Experience with ERP/financial systems and scaling accounting processes in a growth organization.
- Strategic mindset with hands‑on leadership style.
- Strong communication skills; ability to present complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
