Job Description

As a Loan Servicing Specialist III
, you’ll be responsible for processing and validating a diverse range of monetary transactions, maintenance activity, and boarding operations related to consumer, commercial, and complex loans across the bank’s footprint. Your duties will require problem‑solving skills, independent analysis, and sound judgment. These skills will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service to internal business partners, external customers, and syndicated member lending institutions.

You will analyze loan agreements, loan worksheets, and commitment reports to complete appropriate system boarding, maintaining the smooth operation and integrity of our loan‑servicing processes.

How You’ll Spend Your Time
  • Oversee and share responsibility for both consumer and commercial loan portfolios, providing backup as needed.
  • Enter and maintain loan data, evaluate documents, and service complex commercial loans.
  • Manage daily transactions, ensuring accurate distribution or collection of funds and providing detailed documentation.
  • Work with Credit Administration to reflect credit deterioration accurately and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Coordinate daily workflow, train staff, and maintain extensive contact with business partners to resolve complex issues.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Associates Degree in Business or a related field, and/or 5‑6 years of experience in loan production or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of loan operations and bank‑related operations, including loan policy.
  • Advanced knowledge of loan system processing.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal and state lending guidelines and regulations.
  • Advanced understanding of GAAP, Sarbanes‑Oxley, TILA, RESPA, SCRA, FCRA, UDAAP, BSA and other regulations and policies affecting loan operations.
  • Advanced understanding of Bank policies and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of complex loan documentation with the ability to interpret documentation language and specifications.
  • Advanced understanding of complex mathematical calculations and accounting principles as applied to loan processing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent PC skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams, with 10 key‑by‑touch proficiency.
  • Typing speed of 30‑40 wpm.
  • Ability to adjust priorities to changing circumstances in a fast‑paced, heavy‑volume environment.
  • Ability to provide training in a constructive and effective manner at various levels.
  • Demonstrated independent research and analysis skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills; detail and task‑oriented.
