Senior Tax Technology Specialist – Denver, CO

As a Senior Tax Technology Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the tax department in implementing its strategy to optimize processes, reduce risk, and improve efficiency through the utilization of technology.
Responsibilities- Automate and improve processes for direct and indirect tax compliance and reporting
- Support tools like Corptax, Oracle HFM, Power Platforms and Share Point
- Build and maintain workflows in Alteryx and Snowflake for tax analysis
- Identify improvements and implement new technology to streamline tax processes
- Document solutions and improved processes to enhance knowledge sharing, drive efficiency, and business continuity
- Liaise with Finance, Accounting, IT and other business departments to implement tax software and drive improvement initiatives
- Stay current on tax software updates, new features and recent technology resources such as AI and its utilization in Tax operations
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business with a Tax Technology background.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of tax technology, tax accounting, and/or tax compliance in a large corporate environment.
- Experience in supporting Tax operations, process improvements, and managing data sets.
- Solid knowledge and experience on Corptax, Alteryx, Snowflake, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Automate and Oracle HFM preferred. Working knowledge of data analytics.
- Must be a problem solver with demonstrated experience in solving difficult tax technology challenges, with a can‑do attitude and constantly looking for better ways.
- Ability to engage in critical thinking, analysis, and problem‑solving as well as ability to take on new challenges.
- Must be proactive, self‑started and self‑motivated.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact well with their direct manager as well as all levels within the organization.
- Certifications in tax software platforms or data tools preferred (Corptax, One Source, etc.)
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Spanish proficiency (spoken and written) is a plus.
The base salary range is $90,000 to $120,000 USD per year, total on‑target compensation includes a base salary and short‑term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
