Job SummaryWe are seeking a full‑time Controller to oversee the company's day‑to‑day accounting and finance activities. This role will begin as an individual contributor position, with the long‑term goal of building and leading a high‑performing accounting team.

Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations of the accounting and finance department, including management of accounting records, systems, and the general ledger for all subsidiaries.
- Manage global GAAP revenue processes, including revenue recognition and sales‑order‑to‑billing functions within Net Suite.
- Implement, improve, and monitor internal controls to mitigate fraud and risk and to enhance the accuracy of financial reporting.
- Perform monthly close processes, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation, review, and analysis of GAAP‑compliant financial statements.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process and conduct monthly budget reviews with departments.
- Analyze, improve, and automate subscription billing and revenue solutions within Net Suite.
- Lead goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, and career development for accounting staff as the team grows.
- Maintain and track accounting task lists and calendars of related deadlines.
- Review and reconcile sales commissions and submit final amounts for payroll.
- Monitor accounting and tax guidance updates.
- Collaborate with external accountants and advisors to prepare corporate tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements (nexus reviews, SALT returns, SoS filings, and other statutory items).
- Oversee year‑end reporting, including W‑2, 1099, K‑1, and related forms.
- Assist with oversight of corporate insurance and lease administration.
- Maintain equity cap table and grant issuance & activity via Carta. Responsible for gathering all information for 409A valuations.
- Strong leadership with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Professional business acumen with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPA or bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive responsibility in a SaaS organization.
- Hands‑on ASC 606 experience in a software company (preferred).
- Previous experience with Net Suite’s Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) module (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in a fast‑paced environment with attention to detail.
