Senior Project Manager – Finance PMO at Transamerica

This role will independently manage finance‑focused projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they meet time, budget, scope and quality objectives while driving stakeholder alignment and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Determine project deliverables, timelines, and critical paths; develop and maintain project plans.
- Lead project meetings, prepare minutes and status reports, and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
- Manage budgets, monitor resource allocation and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
- Understand the CFO/Finance business units (actuarial, financial reporting, accounting, etc.) and navigate related project intake and IT processes.
- Build relationships with division stakeholders to deliver value‑add services.
- Support service requests, provide escalations, and collaborate on business cases, cost–benefit analyses and prioritization decisions.
- Apply Waterfall and Agile methodologies to project execution.
- 8–10 years of related work experience.
- University or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project 2010 plus portfolio tools.
- General understanding of the insurance and financial services industry.
- Finance & Regulatory Expertise – deep knowledge of insurance finance policies and regulatory reporting.
- Actuarial Project Experience – support of actuarial initiatives.
- Dynamic Project Management – manage multiple concurrent insurance projects.
- AI‑Driven Process Optimization – experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot or similar AI tools.
- Hybrid schedule (Tuesday–Thursday); flexible hours may be required.
- Occasional travel to support global teams.
Salary range: $95,000–$120,000 annually, subject to qualifications, experience and location. Includes annual bonus potential and company equity options.
