The Real Estate Tax Analyst is an integral member of the Real Estate Tax Group responsible for managing the portfolio’s real‑estate tax liability. The position supports assessment and appeal reviews, budgets/tax projections, tax bill payments, and various administrative tasks related to real‑estate taxes.

• Maintain, review, and enter tax and assessment data in Itamlink, leveraging AI tools to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage the property tax billing process—including retrieving bills, reviewing database entries, and preparing & delivering the Tax Due Report (TDR).
• Assist with the preparation and review of valuation and assessment work‑ups for appeal opportunities.
• Track and update appeal status and savings information.
• Review and track real‑estate tax refunds for accuracy and timely processing.
• Review third‑party provider invoices for accuracy and proper supporting documentation.
• Assist in preparing and completing annual budgets, forecast adjustments, and tax projections for new construction and acquisitions.
• Prepare and distribute data requests to third‑party consultants.
• Respond to information requests from assessing jurisdictions and support compliance‑related tasks.
• Complete and file abatement and incentive compliance forms.
• Conduct research projects—including title policy review, jurisdictional tax policies, and property re‑parceling.
• Identify and contribute to process improvements, including opportunities to expand the use of AI tools within workflows.
• Assume additional responsibilities as needed to support departmental and portfolio objectives.

• Background in property valuation, finance, accounting, or similar.
• Familiarity with the income, cost, and sales approach to value.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to research and navigate procedures across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ability to tactfully address tax disputes.
• Customer‑service orientation and team‑player mentality.

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, accounting, or equivalent experience.
• Experience using Yardi Voyager (plus).
• 1‑3 years of multi‑state property tax and assessment experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Itamlink Property Tax Management system preferred.

$71,000 – $89,000 per year, with bonuses and total compensation determined by location, education, experience, and other factors.
