Accounting & Finance Reporting Manager

We are partnering with our banking and finance client in search of a Accounting & Finance Reporting Manager. The Accounting & Finance Reporting Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position involves recording and reconciling various financial transactions related to the bank's investments, derivatives, loans, and other financial instruments. Additionally, the manager prepares monthly financial statements, oversees general ledger maintenance, and collaborates with internal and external auditors.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $115,000 to $130,000 per year.

Job Description:

• Prepare and compile accurate financial and regulatory reports, including monthly financials, quarterly and annual statements, and regulatory filings.
• Update documentation for deferred tax, investment accounting, and CECL calculations.
• Review and post general accounting entries, perform daily reconciliations, and assist with month-end close processes.
• Investigate and resolve outstanding balance sheet items promptly.
• Research and document technical accounting and regulatory guidance.
• Review stock compensation plans and prepare quarterly equity roll-forwards.
• Monitor liquidity, debt levels, and compliance with debt covenants.
• Support tax compliance and government reporting (e.g., tax returns, property tax, sales tax, 1099s).
• Participate in special projects, ad hoc reporting, and system enhancements.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with ERP operating systems and strong Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and interact positively with colleagues and management.

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Master's degree and CPA license strongly preferred.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience, ideally in public accounting or financial services.
