Manager, Financial Reporting - Western Union

We’re seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting in our Western Union Business Solution Financial Reporting team, based in our Denver, Colorado office (global headquarters).

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading a seasoned team in preparing audited financial statements in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and other local standards, serving as the planning contact for external auditors
• Reviewing periodic unaudited financial statements and regulatory filings essential for maintaining operating licenses
• Managing complex general ledger accounting tasks
• Supporting team development in technical accounting expertise

Qualifications needed:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Active CPA license
• 5-7+ years of experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS experience preferred
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Higher workload during reporting seasons
• Experience in designing controls and procedures
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Technologically adept with a desire to learn new tools

Preferred additional skills:

• Experience with income tax provisions and transfer pricing across jurisdictions
• Experience in multi-currency accounting environments
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements
• Proactive leadership in critical projects
• Strong collaboration skills with Tax, Treasury, Finance, Internal Audit, and Legal teams
• Experience with enterprise financial systems like Oracle and HFM
