Job Summary

The Engineering Financial Analyst supports the Company’s financial planning, acquisition modeling, and risk management strategies under the CFO’s direction. The role also contributes to marketing, hedging, financial compliance, and reporting functions, providing ad‑hoc analysis to support investment decisions and capital structure planning. The Analyst collaborates with multiple departments to ensure robust, data‑driven insights and assists in preparing materials for lenders and the Board of Managers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Build and manage leveraged acquisition models.
  • Conduct financial analyses to support internal decision‑making and project evaluations.
  • Prepare models, materials, and sensitivities for equity and debt stakeholders.
  • Support corporate risk management and insurance reporting activities.
  • Compile, analyze, and report operational and financial data for management and operations teams.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure financial models reflect current reserve forecasts and assumptions.
  • Maintain credit evaluations for major counter parties.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage and extract data from the Company’s reserve database in collaboration with the Reservoir Engineering team.
  • Support execution of the Company’s hedging strategies.
  • Assist in preparing investor materials, including quarterly Board of Managers presentations.
  • Support compliance and reporting requirements related to the Company’s credit facility.
  • Track and report on derivative positions.
Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Engineering required.

Experience

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis within the oil and gas industry.
  • Prior experience in the oil and gas industry is required.

Specialized Knowledge

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with reservoir databases (ARIES, BOLO, Combo Curve, etc.) is required.

Compensation

The base compensation for this role in this location is targeted between $91,000 and $148,000 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the range listed above.
