About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting to join our client’s growing finance team in the Greensboro, NC market. This role reports to the Director of Financial Reporting and will focus on preparing accurate and timely financial reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP. You will support both internal and external reporting processes, ensure data integrity, and contribute to the monthly consolidation of global financial results used for leadership decision-making and SEC filings.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate eager to grow, especially those with a CPA (or actively pursuing certification) and/or a background in public accounting, which is highly preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting schedules (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, stockholders’ equity) to support SEC and public filings.
Assist in drafting internal financial reporting packages distributed to leadership.
Contribute to the preparation of SEC filings (10-Qs, 10-Ks, etc.).
Analyze financial data and explain key variances.
Collaborate with global accounting teams and corporate functions (treasury, tax, FP&A) to validate and consolidate information.
Support interim reviews and year-end audits, liaising with external auditors.
Perform technical accounting research and contribute to special projects, including the adoption of new accounting standards.
Coordinate SOX testing for the financial reporting group, ensuring compliance with Section 404 requirements.
Prepare and review consolidated financial data, including journal entries.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Accounting strongly preferred).
2–5 years of relevant experience.
CPA license or active CPA pursuit highly preferred.
Public accounting background is strongly valued.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Experience with SOX compliance documentation/testing.
Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
