The Director of Finance is a key member of the Finance Team, working with the CFO to oversee all accounting and financial operations. This role manages general ledger, reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, grants, and bond compliance, while supervising the Payroll & Purchasing Specialist and the AP/AR Specialist. The Director ensures compliance with GAAP, GASB, and state/federal regulations, maintains strong internal controls, and supports financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audits.

Key Responsibilities- Lead accounting functions, including general ledger, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audits.
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, grants, and bond management.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, GASB, state, and federal requirements.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, asset tracking, and financial transparency reporting.
- Supervise and develop finance staff.
- Bachelor’s in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA preferred.
- 8+ years finance/accounting experience, including 5+ in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, GASB, payroll, AP/AR, grants, and bond management.
- Proficiency with accounting/payroll systems (Abila MIP and Paylocity a plus).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Salary range: $100,000–$125,000 annually, plus benefits.
