TITLE SPECIALIST II-IV
Department: Commercial Operations
Reports To: Commercial Operations Manager, Chief Risk Officer
Base Salary Range: $50,000 - $85,000
Annual Variable Incentive Opportunity: Target discretionary bonus of approximately 10% of base salary based on individual, department, and Company performance.

Position Summary
We are considering candidates across multiple experience levels. Final title and responsibilities may be aligned to Title Specialist II, III, or IV based on experience.
The Title Specialist owns the entire title workflow from initial documentation to final registration, including title transfers and lien releases, while coordinating with outsourced title service partners. As needed, they supports the proper establishment and perfection of the Company's security interests in financed equipment.
The role coordinates title, lien, UCC, and related collateral requirements and provides clear instructions and documentation to customers, vendors, DMVs, filing agents, and internal teams.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties- Review financed equipment to determine applicable title, registration, UCC, or other lien-perfection requirements under established procedures.
- Coordinate title and lien requirements for vehicles, trailers, specialty equipment, and other titled assets across applicable jurisdictions.
- Prepare and communicate title, lienholder, registration, and related instructions to customers, vendors, dealers, and other parties.
- Review titles, MSOs/MCOs, applications, VINs, serial numbers, invoices, ownership information, and related collateral documentation for accuracy and consistency.
- Process title applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state transportation regulations.
- Perform or coordinate required UCC searches, filings, amendments, releases, subordinations, and other lien-related administration for non-titled equipment.
- Identify existing liens, ownership discrepancies, filing issues, or other collateral concerns and coordinate resolution or escalation before funding.
- Maintain accurate title, lien, filing, and collateral records within Company systems.
- Coordinate with Sales Coordinators, Credit, Documentation, customers, vendors, legal resources, and servicing partners as needed.
- Establish complete post-funding title or lien follow-up requirements and provide an orderly handoff to the responsible outsourced title work service as needed..
- Ultimately responsible for fulfilling all applicable collateral security processes.
- Maintain working knowledge of applicable title, DMV, UCC, and equipment-finance collateral procedures and contribute to process and automation improvements.
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
- 2 – 6+ years applicable equipment finance, commercial lending, title, lien, DMV, UCC, documentation, or lending-operations experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of vehicle titles, lien perfection, UCC filings, and collateral documentation preferred.
- Knowledge of state transportation regulations, commercial vehicle terminology, and non-titled equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-up, and record keeping skills necessary for handling high-volume data entry
- Strong professional communication skills and ability to coordinate with customers, vendors, government agencies, and internal teams.
- Ability to research and apply established state-specific or transaction-specific requirements.
- High degree of accountability, integrity, and discretion.
