A newly formed, well-funded domestic uranium company is looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to build the planning and reporting foundation of its finance function. You will work directly with the Controller and CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and modeling across mine development, remediation, and processing, and become a go-to resource for the analysis that leadership, the board, and investors rely on.

A strong fit for someone who likes ownership and does not need a fully defined playbook.

  • Base salary up to $120K plus 10-20% annual bonus target
  • Hybrid with roughly one day a month onsite for candidates near Casper or Denver, or fully remote for the right person in Mountain, Central, or Pacific time zones
  • Direct partnership with the CFO and Controller
  • Real ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and modeling at a company in its first year
  • Regular exposure to board and investor reporting
  • Chance to build dashboards and reporting tools from scratch in Power BI
Responsibilities
  • Lead the annual budget and rolling forecast process, building bottom-up plans with operations, project, and corporate teams
  • Build and maintain financial models for mine development, remediation projects, and new technology deployments, including capex, operating costs, and project-level returns
  • Model cash flow and runway scenarios to support capital planning and spending decisions
  • Run sensitivity analysis on key drivers such as commodity pricing, production volumes, recovery rates, and project timing
  • Prepare monthly budget-to-actual and forecast variance analysis with clear commentary on what is driving results
  • Assemble board and investor reporting packages, including KPIs and management commentary
  • Track project economics across remediation sites and contracts
  • Support strategic work including acquisitions, financing, contract pricing, and new site evaluations
  • Partner with accounting on month-end results and help improve reporting out of Net Suite
  • Build Power BI dashboards that give leadership a clear view of spend, project progress, and cash
Requirements
  • 3+ years of FP&A experience, ideally at a growing company or in a capital-intensive industry
  • Strong financial modeling skills, including three-statement, project-level, and scenario models
  • Power BI experience strongly preferred
  • Track record turning messy data into clear recommendations
  • Advanced Excel skills;
Net Suite or other ERP experience is helpful
  • Comfortable presenting findings to senior leadership and explaining results to non-finance teams
  • Self-directed and organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus
  • Experience in mining, energy, oil and gas, utilities, or another project-based industry is a plus

A strong opportunity for an FP&A professional who wants to build a planning function from the ground up with direct access to senior leadership.
