Description Of Job

Within the Division of Housing, the operations unit supports the division by working with public and private entities, nonprofit organizations, and public housing authorities to create and rehabilitate housing for low and moderate income persons; provide shelter and supportive services to the homeless; and provide safe, sanitary, decent housing for low and moderate income persons and families throughout the state through allocation of funds from federal and state grant programs, as well as delivery of technical assistance and training to applicants and grantees.

This position is responsible for ensuring all required documentation is provided by the originating office and the Contracts Team for the contract drafting process. This includes working with the borrowers/grantees, the DOH teams administering the funds, landlords, nonprofit organizations, other state and local governments, and other stakeholders to collect and verify documents needed for the closing.

The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include:

  • Overall responsibility for the efficient drafting of grant and loan documents, including State’s homelessness grants and affordable housing grants and loans
  • Utilizes established spreadsheets, databases, and other recordkeeping tools to track documents received
  • Ensures all required documents are obtained for the contracting process and appropriately filled out and maintained for safekeeping
  • Works primarily with the DOH Contracts Team but also with other DOH offices to complete the contracting process
