Responsibilities of the Health Information Management (HIM) Technician include, but are not limited to:
- Inpatient assembly, analysis and admissions processing (including sorting, proofing and error identification of all reports) in support of the Health Information Management function.
- Telephone backup as needed.
Education and Training
:
High School diploma or its equivalent with specialized training in an approved business, secretarial school or college. Prefer specialized training in an approved Health Information Management Program.
Experience
:
Previous medical record experience in healthcare setting preferred.
