Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Optometry Assistant (Optician) to join our mobile eye care team in Los Angeles County. This is a full-time traveling position starting at $25 per hour supporting our Optometrists as they provide essential vision care to seniors and underserved communities across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Travel to partner facilities throughout the Denver area to assist Optometrists during patient visits.
- Prepare exam rooms and organize equipment prior to each clinic day.
- Support with patient intake, visual screenings, and basic diagnostic testing.
- Assist with eyewear selection, adjustments, and fittings for patients.
- Maintain accurate patient and eyewear records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Ensure equipment and supplies are properly packed, transported, and maintained for each visit.
- Provide compassionate and professional support to patients and facility staff.
This traveling optician position requires regular travel throughout the Denver region.
Qualifications- Previous experience as an Optician, Optometric Assistant, or Medical/Dental Assistant preferred.
- Knowledge of eyewear fitting, frame adjustments, and optical tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel daily to various sites.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
