Pharmaceutical Production Technician – a key role in our dynamic team focused on nuclear medicine. Overnight availability is required, and the position involves rotating shifts:
Day shift – 6 am to 2:30 pm;
Night shift – roughly 10 pm to 6:30 am.
As a Pharmaceutical Production Technician, you will operate the facility’s cyclotron, associated chemistry modules, and analytical equipment for the production and quality control of PET radiopharmaceuticals. The role includes maintenance and repairs of equipment, system modifications, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in a cGMP environment.
Job Responsibilities and Duties- Operate cyclotron for PET production.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on synthesis modules and analytical equipment.
- Produce and conduct quality control (QC) of radiopharmaceuticals in a cGMP environment.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory commitments and company policies, including cGMP and radiation safety.
- Maintain records to satisfy FDA requirements.
- Order parts and supplies for maintenance and production.
- Clean and maintain production areas (hot cells, laminar flow hoods, etc.).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Academic background in physics, chemistry, engineering, or electronic technology; equivalent education and experience is acceptable.
- Experience in electrical, mechanical engineering, physics, medical equipment services, or equivalent; pharmacy technician certification is a plus.
- Experience working with ionizing radiation and radioactive equipment is preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting, performing repairs, and maintaining equipment is preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of cGMP environment and regulations is preferred.
Manual dexterity for manipulating small items; regularly lift at least 50 pounds throughout each shift and 75 pounds on occasion. Must handle standing, walking, and sitting for 4+ hours with limited rest intervals. Good eye‑hand coordination, fair eyesight, normal hearing, and the ability to analyze situations, set priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
