Job DescriptionPrepares and distributes medications in a timely manner. Collects patient information and explains any insurance changes or complications. Ensures pharmacists are aware of patient needs and prescription checks. Assures orders are processed, dispensed and delivered accurately and promptly. Assists in billing processes and maintains knowledge of insurance changes. Demonstrates knowledge of the generic names of medications, medication uses, and a good understanding of mathematical principles.
Communicates with patients and pharmacies regarding prescription transfers, and informs patients of any problems. Generates reports, develops presentation, and participates in committees as needed. Ensures inventory is organized and maintained properly. Assists in the training and mentorship of new staff. Other duties as assigned.
High School Grad or Equiv (Required). State Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
Pay Range$19.58 - $31.32
