Vitalant is hiring newly graduated and experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our high complexity testing reference laboratories.

As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match.()Perform production, processing, and labeling of blood components and blood donations (Manu Lab)
Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services.

Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.

Bachelor's degree in biology, Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent (must receive MLS certification within 6 months of eligibility) or Bachelor's degree in approved Science (Biology, Chemistry, etc) and currently possess certification from an accredited agency as MT/MLSState licensure as required by regulations

Experience0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist educational requirementsor5 years or more experience as Medical Laboratory Technician REQUIREMENTS:

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, medical technology or clinical laboratory science required or equivalent education, training and/or experience with certification as a Medical Technologist by a recognized certifying agency.

Medical Laboratory Technician with Associates degree with experience in high complexity testing and meets state licensure defined criteria.
