Senior/Principal Scientist in Formulation and Process Development supporting Celcuity's drug product lifecycle, primarily for oncology indications.
Responsibilities- lead formulation and process development for novel and existing formulations, including pre-formulation, dosage form selection, process scale-up, and manufacturing
- design and interpret experiments at contract labs and CDMOs
- support technical and regulatory documentation, including IP filings
- serve as a subject matter expert on formulation strategies, especially for poorly water-soluble APIs
- and identify new external partners
- Ph.D./M.S./B.S. in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related fields
- 7+ years industry experience in drug development, with expertise in small molecule formulations, sterile/parenteral dosage forms, and techniques such as nano-milling, emulsions, salt screening, and lyophilization
- Strong physicochemical characterization skills, preclinical support experience, and excellent communication skills required
- experience with drug device combination products and delivery techniques, especially for injectables and ophthalmic forms
