Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage two major functions of the hotel (e.g., food & beverage and room operations) to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service while meeting or exceeding financial goals.
  • Develop and recommend the budget, marketing plans and objectives and manage within those approved plans.
  • Manage Human Resources to attract, retain and motivate employees; hire, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance and salary reviews, resolve problems, provide open communication, discipline, and terminate, as appropriate.
  • Implement company programs, develop local procedures, and ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations and all applicable laws and regulations to ensure optimal service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer complaints to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.
  • Implement emergency organization procedures and training through the security staff to ensure protection for guests, staff and company assets.
  • Execute and promote an accident prevention program to minimize liabilities and related expenses.
  • Manage the maintenance and sanitation of front and back of the house to protect assets, comply with regulations and ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the General Manager in their absence.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Education

A four‑year college degree or equivalent education/experience.

Experience

Five to ten years of employment in a related position with this company or other organizations.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Advanced knowledge of the hospitality and business management fields.
  • Considerable working knowledge of other major areas and the skill to integrate and communicate that information.
  • Ability to analyze complex activities or information to improve practices or develop new approaches.
  • Decision-making with general policies and procedures for guidance, keeping the General Manager informed.
  • Highly developed communication skills to negotiate, influence managers, guests, and corporate clients.
  • Excellent speech and written communication skills.
  • Excellent literacy skills necessary for reports, policies, and procedures.
  • Vision ability to visually inspect the hotel.
Physical Demands
  • Must have vision ability to inspect the hotel.
  • Must have mobility to walk through the front and back of the hotel.
  • Climb approximately 20-30 steps at least 10% of the week.
  • Physically able to regularly inspect all areas of interior and exterior of facility.
