About the RoleThe HR Business Partner will be the go‑to person for multiple clients across multiple jurisdictions and industries. The ideal candidate helps clients solve complex people and culture problems by designing and implementing customized solutions. Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and experience with multiple states (California and New York preferred) is essential. The role requires excellent client and project management, attention to detail, and stellar written and verbal communication.
The successful candidate will guide organizations, leadership, and people through change in a fast‑paced environment.
Colorado‑based. Hybrid work model: primarily remote, with onsite support at client sites as needed. Travel may be required.
What You Will Do- Act as the HR business partner for multiple clients across multiple jurisdictions.
- Analyze current HR programs and design an HR roadmap tailored to each engagement.
- Ensure compliance with jurisdictional standards and align HR agendas with labour law issues.
- Develop, review, and apply HR policies and procedures where necessary.
- Lead complex compensation projects and conduct data analytics.
- Review HR software and processes, spearhead HRIS implementation when necessary.
- Design performance management processes in line with best practices.
- Design compensation plans based on market data and industry standards.
- Manage employee relations issues as they arise.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to management and employees.
- Create and deliver HR‑related training sessions.
- Attend virtual and in‑person meetings with client executives and employees.
- Act as the lead relationship manager between Humani and client C‑suite executives.
- Employment law & legislation: Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law across multiple states; union/labour relations experience is a plus.
- Analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking: Ability to absorb business information, analyse it, and provide clear recommendations and solutions.
- Time management: Manage time to meet deadlines and stay within client budgets.
- Listening, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills: Engage with client executives and employees effectively.
- Organizational skills: Maintain a structured approach to problem solving and solution implementation.
- Data analysis: Analyse data, documents, reports with meticulous attention to detail.
- Relationship management: Experience managing a portfolio of clients and stakeholders, proactively identifying opportunities.
- Technology: Adapt quickly to new technology, including Google Apps; experience with Microsoft Office suites is acceptable.
- HR software: Comfortable using and adapting to multiple HR software programs.
- Project management: Working knowledge of project management principles; change‑management experience is ideal.
- Minimum 5+ years of client‑facing HR business partner experience.
- Minimum 2+ years managing work deliverables within an HR team.
- A degree or diploma in HR or a related field.
- Professional HR designation is an asset.
- A true passion for HR: Experience building HR systems and processes from scratch and staying updated on HR trends.
- Problem solving: Ability to work through limited information and advance to next steps.
- Attention to detail: Deliver client‑ready documents, PowerPoint decks, and reports.
- Creativity: Outside‑the‑box thinking; flexible and innovative when implementing solutions.
- Self‑motivation and self‑discipline: Highly autonomous; complete work promptly with minimal oversight.
- Base salary $80,000–$100,000 with potential to earn up to 10–25+% of base via annual performance‑based bonus (total compensation up to $88,000–$125,000+).
