Position Summary: Hukari Ascendent is seeking a Technical Recruiter with practical experience supporting government hiring initiatives, ideally within the Department of Energy (DOE) or similar federal environments.

The Technical Recruiter will report to the Vice President, Contracts and recruit for qualified candidates by active/passive candidate sourcing, resume formatting & review, developing & maintaining relationships with candidates/employees, and assist with other relevant tasks (job postings, social media, and recruiting documentation). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with a sense of urgency, highly organized, and able to communicate professionally with candidates, internal leadership, and external partners.

This role is essential to supporting Hukari Ascendent’s recruiting efforts in technical disciplines and requires a high level of integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform recruiting assignments as requested by other team recruiter’s/Vice President, Contracts.
  • Post open positions, mine social media, participate in local job fairs, conferences, or other forums for attracting candidates.
  • Customize resumes, sourcing on multiple platforms, promoting Hukari Ascendent benefits, cold calling as needed.
  • Review and format resumes, prepare submittal packages and coordinate with contracts department and HR as needed.
  • Ensure routine initial and follow-up calls are made to solicit prospective candidates, provide status, and feedback on selection.
  • Make periodic calls to employees to solicit updated experience, potential referrals, and information on project needs.
  • Identify, track, and maintain real time status of assigned opportunities and maintain awareness of all open opportunities. Use recruiting software for tracking, status, and conducting resource queries.
  • Ensure resume and submittal standards are met and ensure candidates meet position requirements.
  • Participate in local/community events to promote Hukari Ascendent and generate BD and candidate leads.
  • Support business development activities and proposal development by identifying candidates as requested.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of recruiting experience in technical disciplines
  • Proficiency in using an ATS system
  • Strong professional communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Comfort using standard office technology, including phones, laptops, videoconferencing tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detailed oriented
  • Strong Organizational skills.
  • Able to work and collaborate within a small team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or related field
  • Preferably recruiting experience in engineering, IT and/or Technical
  • Experience working with federal staffing procedures, compliance and contracting within the Nuclear vertical.
  • Knowledge of DOE security clearance processes or similar government requirements.
  • Experience recruiting in an agency, staffing or third-party recruitment environment.

Travel: up to 10% to client and/or partner sites
