About Pisteyo
Pisteyo is a U.S.
-based AI management consulting and tech-enabled operations firm. We help clients design and run AI-enabled operations, with strengths in finance operations, automation, and high-touch delivery execution.
We are building Pisteyo India Private Limited in Hyderabad as our first international hub. This hub will remain small (4–6 people initially), highly capable, and deeply integrated with U.S. leadership through a U.S. overlap shift schedule.
We’re hiring a People Operations Specialist who can build and run HR operations for the India team while supporting basic U.S. HR coordination when needed. This is a hands‑on, full‑stack People Ops role covering hiring, onboarding, policy support, HR admin, engagement, and payroll coordination. You’ll work in a startup‑like environment where things move quickly — and you’ll have support from templates, local CA/legal partners, and U.S. leadership.
You’ll partner closely with the Head of Operations (India) and spend roughly:
- 70% on India HR & People Ops
- 30% on U.S. recruiting/HR coordination
- Clear, kind communication:
We speak plainly and openly across India and U.S. teams. - Ownership:
You’ll run People Ops processes end-to-end with accountability. - Working at a healthy pace:
We focus on what creates value quickly, without unnecessary steps. - Learning and sharing openly:
What you build should become reusable for both India and U.S. teams. - Human + AI teaming:
We use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, automation platforms) to simplify HR work, draft documents, streamline workflows, and create better employee experiences. You should be AI‑savvy or willing to learn quickly.
- Talent Acquisition (India)
- Full‑cycle hiring: sourcing, screening, coordination, closing. Provide a professional, timely candidate experience. Partner with U.S. leadership for role alignment and hiring priorities. Use tools (including AI tools) to improve sourcing efficiency and keep pipelines organized.
- Onboarding & Employee
Experience:
Own pre‑joining, Day 1, and first‑90‑day onboarding workflows. Ensure new hires understand our culture, expectations, and operating rhythms. Support engagement activities and maintain regular check‑in rhythms. Use AI tools to help prepare onboarding materials, templates, or communication drafts where appropriate. - Payroll Coordination & HR Admin:
Prepare monthly payroll inputs with accuracy (attendance, shift allowance, reimbursements). Coordinate with CA/payroll partners to ensure clean, timely payroll processing. Manage HR documentation and statutory compliance inputs. Maintain data accuracy in HRIS/trackers. - HR Policies & People Ops Systems:
Help adapt India HR policies (leave, U.S. overlap norms, conduct, confidentiality). Work with CA/legal partners to ensure policy compliance. Build SOPs for HR workflows using templates and guidance. Use tools (including AI) to automate or simplify routine HR processes. - U.S.
-Facing HR & Recruiting Support (30%):
Assist with scheduling, communication, and candidate coordination for U.S. roles. Support lightweight U.S. HR tasks such as reference checks, documentation, admin. Maintain predictable communication rhythms with U.S. leadership.
- 3–6 years in HR generalist, People Ops, or recruitment roles.
- Experience in fast‑paced environments (tech, BPO, consulting, or startups).
- Comfortable working in a U.S. overlap shift.
- Nice to have: experience building HR processes for a new office/team.
- Strong sourcing, screening, and candidate engagement skills.
- Clear written and spoken English; strong communicator.
- Solid grasp of India HR basics: payroll inputs, leave, statutory requirements, documentation.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets, HRIS tools, and simple automations.
