Position Overview

The Sage Group’s Client, an award-winning performance marketing agency, is seeking a highly organized, hands-on HR Generalist / HR Coordinator to support their HR function on a part-time basis. This role will provide end-to-end administrative, recruiting, onboarding, payroll support, and employee lifecycle coordination.

The ideal candidate is self-directed, dependable, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and able to balance recurring HR processes with ad hoc projects. This role requires strong follow-through, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to build rapport across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and project support to the HR function.
  • Own the recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding. Create and manage job postings; build talent pipeline, support candidate sourcing and recruitment coordination through ATS, .
  • Coordinate interviews, including scheduling, candidate communication, interviewer preparation, and follow-up.
  • Prepare and coordinate offer letters, employment agreements, contracts, and related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee and candidate records, including document filing and data entry in HRIS, Paylocity.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities in Paylocity and Asana, including internal team communications, new-hire checklists, equipment/access coordination, and orientation scheduling.
  • Lead or support new-hire orientations and ensure a positive, organized employee experience.
  • Support payroll-related processes in Paylocity, including employee changes, data validation, and timely documentation.
  • Assist with benefits administration and compliance activities, including benefit eligibility, enrollment support, and required documentation.
  • Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, terminations, COBRA administration, and responding to employee questions related to benefits.
  • Manage and support unemployment claims and related documentation in partnership with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Support HR compliance activities related to tax codes, employee records, and applicable policies and procedures.
  • Support ad hoc HR projects, process improvements, reporting, and employee initiatives as needed.
  • Organize, coordinate, and lead engaging initiatives that foster team connection, wellness, and culture

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of U.S. experience in HR coordination or HR generalist work (including recruiting/talent acquisition), or a related people operations role.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting recruiting processes, including job postings, interview coordination, candidate communication, and offer administration.
  • Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems; familiarity with Paylocity and  is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of payroll support, onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and HR compliance practices.
  • Strong organizational, scheduling, documentation, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain momentum with limited day-to-day supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable service mindset.
  • Ability to build trusted working relationships with candidates, employees, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential employee information appropriately.

  • Recruiting, interview, offer, onboarding, and offboarding processes are organized, timely, and well communicated.
  • Employee and candidate records in Paylocity and  are accurate and current.
  • HR SOPs and training materials are documented, accessible, and consistently followed.
  • Benefits and unemployment processes are accurate, timely, well documented, and well communicated.
  • Employees and candidates experience responsive, professional, and welcoming HR support.
