Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of web strategy, content management, and user experience for all digital properties to align with university marketing goals.
  • Participate in strategic planning, including messaging, audience development, content creation, and content promotion.
  • Track key site metrics and produce regular progress reports to understand user behavior and guide the web team.
  • Optimize user behavior and improve web conversions using Google Analytics.
  • Collaborate with SEO vendors, admissions, and web team members to implement a long-term SEO strategy.
  • Monitor online marketing trends and competitor sites, making recommendations to ensure the university's site utilizes available tools.
  • Conduct comprehensive user experience testing to enhance site performance.
  • Communicate digital content strategies with various departments to ensure alignment with marketing goals.
  • Develop customized code to address unique project requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Leverage third-party APIs to integrate marketing, analytics, and other external tools seamlessly.
  • Optimize and refine code to enhance website performance, improving speed, reliability, and scalability.
  • Configure and enhance content management systems to ensure data integrity, minimize errors, and boost efficiency.
  • Undertake digital initiatives, including page redesigns and microsite development, ensuring successful execution.
  • Generate consistent web analytics reports to track user engagement and overall site usage.
  • Maintain the Google Analytics account and provide monthly activity and engagement reports.
  • Make data-driven recommendations for web optimizations and site roadmap improvements.
  • Assess competitor web trends and present findings to leadership for strategic decision-making.
  • Stay current on SEO strategies, content delivery, and UX trends to maintain best practices.
  • Serve as the SEO lead, advising Strategic Marketing and Communications and other departments on current and future SEO trends.
  • Apply SEO knowledge and keywords to improve the performance of the website and digital properties.
  • Monitor quality, click-through, and conversion rates across accounts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Train, encourage professional development and contribute to the evaluation of the performance of personnel within the Web Services team.
Qualifications
  • B.S. in computer science or related
  • 1 year in administrative or academic position in higher education setting.
  • Experience must include 1 year demonstrated working knowledge of:
  • Managing a multi-faceted website for a company or organization, including content management, web development & strategy, and analytics to optimize user experience.
  • Experience or education must include working or theoretical knowledge of:
  • managing CMS platforms;
  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, and third-party JavaScript libraries;
  • back-end development programming languages;
  • managing web design projects from concept sketches to wireframes to development;
  • coding design concepts and prototypes using front-end programming languages;
  • information design and architecture;
  • user-centric design;
  • multiple browser requirements and capabilities;
  • web design and development constraints and parameters;
  • managing new and historical web analytics data and performing statistical data analysis;
  • SEO management;
  • conducting user research through both qualitative and quantitative methods;
  • cloud computing tools and platforms.
