VIZIO is looking for a Staff Site Reliability Engineer for its Software Engineering team. The successful candidate will play an important role in driving a critical overhaul in how we deploy and manage our database platforms, enabling a radical improvement in consistency, efficiency, and operability.

• Design and implement IaC-based approaches for managing stateful infrastructure
• Automate infrastructure deployment workflows using tools such as Jenkins, Docker, or Git Hub Actions
• Architect databases for continuous availability, disaster recovery, and full observability
• Enable zero‑touch, zero‑downtime cloud database operations
• Implement secure, auditable database access mechanisms
• Collaborate with application development teams to optimize database interactions
• Participate in a low‑noise 24/7 on‑call rotation with other team members to support data infrastructure components

• Over 10 years of experience in database administration, deployment automation, or software engineering
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Expertise in cloud databases and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Hands‑on experience with tools such as Terraform, Flyway, Git Hub Actions, and Liquibase
