Oracle PL/SQL – Contract Position (Denver, CO)

We are looking for an experienced Oracle PL/SQL developer to join our team on a 6‑12+ month contract in Denver, CO. The role requires strong skills in PL/SQL development, database design, and performance tuning, with a focus on the Schwab Institutional business.

Position Details

• Title: Oracle PL/SQL

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of Oracle Database developers on design, development, and implementation of Oracle‑based applications.
• Develop PL/SQL with triggers, stored procedures, and packages.
• Collaborate with application project teams to size database efforts, design appropriate database access, and satisfy user performance expectations.
• Gather (and document) database requirements, and then design, build, test, and implement database functionality.
• Provide specifications and oversight for junior team members.
• Support the Schwab Charitable Foundations Group in database development.
• Assist with Configuration Management across all project stages and environments.
• Support the QA team with data‑driven requests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years experience as an application DBA/Database Developer.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix Shell Scripting.
• Experience with database development, interfaces, analysis, and performance tuning (SQL tuning).
• Experience with SQL Server RDBMS, Transact‑SQL highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with ERWIN is a plus.
• Willingness to learn new skills quickly.
