PL Solution Architect - Denver

3PL Solution Architect – USG, Inc., Denver, CO (Hybrid Onsite). Contract position.

This role demands a unique blend of technical integration expertise, deep knowledge of Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS), and a comprehensive understanding of logistics and warehouse management systems. The ideal candidate will translate complex business requirements into robust, industry‑best‑practice integration solutions and serve as a key communicator between IT staff and business users.

• Design end‑to‑end, scalable, reusable integration architectures connecting internal systems (primarily Oracle EBS) with Third‑Party Logistics (3PL) providers and external trading partners, adhering to industry best practices.
• Utilize extensive knowledge of Oracle E‑Business Suite R12+ architecture (specifically SCM, Order Management, Inventory modules) to ensure seamless, efficient, and standardized integration points.
• Lead the design and governance of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) integrations (e.g., ANSI X12 standards like 850, 856, 940, 945) using enterprise integration platforms and B2B gateways.
• Create detailed architectural blueprints, data flow diagrams, interface specifications, and technical documentation that guide development and implementation teams.
• Apply deep functional knowledge of Supply Chain Management (SCM), Inventory Management (IM), and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to ensure solutions optimize business processes end‑to‑end.
• Effectively articulate complex technical ideas and solutions to diverse audiences, including executive leadership, business users, and IT technical staff.
• Define and enforce integration standards, governance models, and best practices across the enterprise architecture landscape.
• Evaluate and onboard new 3PL vendors, ensuring their technical capabilities align with our integration standards and architectural vision.

• 12+ years in IT solution design/architecture roles, with significant experience focused specifically on logistics, supply chain integrations, and 3PL partnerships.
• Proven experience designing highly scalable, resilient enterprise integration architectures.
• Deep functional and technical understanding of Oracle E‑Business Suite R12+ architecture, modules, and integration touchpoints (APIs, interfaces).
• Mandatory expertise in implementing and leveraging the Oracle Integrated SOA Gateway (ISG) for exposing and consuming services within the Oracle EBS ecosystem.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise integration platforms (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Mule Soft, Boomi) and B2B gateways/EDI translation tools.
• Strong domain knowledge of SCM processes, WMS functionality, inventory lifecycle, and standard EDI transaction sets used in logistics.
• Experience with Cloud platforms and modern REST API architecture design.
• Desired experience integrating Oracle EBS with Manhattan Associates WMS or other Tier‑1 WMS solutions (e.g., Blue Yonder/JDA, SAP EWM).

Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and non‑technical business stakeholders effectively.
