Job Description
We are the AI Infrastructure – Network Operations team support and operate the RDMA/RoCE/IB network fabrics for OCI’s largest AI and HPC customers. These fabrics are the foundation underneath OCI’s AI, GPU and HPC services, and support major tier-0 vendors in the generative AI industry. If you’re running an AI workload at OCI, we’re running the RDMA network underneath your workload.
A Network Developer 4 on our team supports the design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale global Oracle cloud computing environment (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure – OCI). Primarily focused on operation and support of RDMA/IB network fabrics and systems, through a combination of a deep network understanding and automation skills to operate a production environment. As OCI is a cloud‑based network with a global footprint, this support will include hundreds of thousands of network devices supporting millions of servers, connected over a mix of dedicated backbone infrastructure and the Internet.
Responsibilities- Lead network lifecycle management programs by defining high‑level objectives and delivery procedures.
- Organize project technical milestones and supporting tasks.
- Serve as project technical lead, coordinating efforts of two or three engineers.
- Advise project/program managers and coordinate with immediate and skip‑level leadership.
- Collaborate across teams within the same organization (same VP).
- Serve as technical SME in cross‑functional activities.
- Manage technical responsibility for moderately complex projects, including requirements, specifications, and documentation.
- Decompose high‑level architectures into detailed designs.
- Lead multiple engineers in developing network solutions with complex module interactions.
- Work with supporting service teams to ensure solutions are properly supported by monitoring and automation systems.
- Serve as Tier 2 or specialized escalation point for network events, providing break‑fix support for large‑scale incidents.
- Act as the principal point of contact for systematic resolution of complex network issues.
- Act as SME for root cause analysis efforts.
- Frequently develop scripts to automate non‑traditional, complex tasks for the business unit.
- Serve as technical lead on network automation design and delivery projects.
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Provide guidance to technical and senior technical staff members.
- Interpret leader (technical and management) input and provide focused development for junior staff.
- Conduct technical coaching sessions and support skill development for junior team members.
- Collaborate with vendor engineering and account managers to address business or operational issues.
- Participate in the development of RFQs/RFPs for vendor engagement.
- Lead the adoption of new vendor hardware, as needed.
- Maintain active communication with product teams.
- Drive technology initiatives to meet product and service requirements.
- Support coordinated communication with product teams, networking leadership, and PMO to assess gaps, solutions, and needs.

US:
Hiring Range in USD from: $109,200 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
