The RoleAs a Manager of the Solution Architecture Team, you will lead a team of Architects & Engineers focused on driving outcomes for Neo Cloud clients. You will provide leadership, technical direction, foster innovation, and ensure delivery of architectures that meet scalability, security, and performance goals. Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Lumen ecosystem partners to shape strategies and lead technical enablement initiatives for teams and clients.
TheMain Responsibilities
Build, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing team of Architects and Engineers, sharing vision, direction, and priorities to ensure execution against organization goals.
Drive strategic customer engagement efforts that deepen relationships, align solutions to business priorities, creates partnerships.
Define and implement team best practices, standardizing templates and architectures that are repeatable frameworks, leveraging tools that improve solution quality and pre‑sales efficiency.
Serve as a strategic bridge between customer needs and intermetal teams, ensuring clear communication and shared priorities.
Oversee team workload, resource planning, and prioritization to ensure effective execution aligned with customer and Lumen expectations.
Partner with internal stakeholders such as to develop technical playbooks and competitive positioning to service Neo Cloud customers.
Provide regular coaching, feedback, and development plans to advance team skills, performance, and career progression.
Build a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, accountability, and customer advocacy.
Experience leading technical teams or managing customer‑facing engineering organizations, demonstrating leadership characteristics.
Experience in solution architecture, pre‑sales, or technical consulting within cloud, data center or SaaS environments, with a progressive track record of increased level of responsibility.
Strong foundation in enterprise architecture, cloud, edge, data center, cybersecurity, and network infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of AI/ML workload requirements such as data movement, high‑capacity transport, low latency performance.
Skilled at bridging strong client relationships by combining technical and business priorities to drive successful outcomes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to a broad range of audiences.
Proven ability to hire, manage, mentor, and motivate successful, solution architecture teams.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent years of experience. MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
Industry/cloud certifications a plus.
Travel required.
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges:
$128,174 - $170,888 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, , IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$134,579 - $179,435 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$140,994 - $187,982 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
