Senior Product Manager, Ads

We’re looking for a strong Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of Base’s Growth and Ads strategy. In this role, you’ll help shape how people create, earn, and discover onchain by building the ads, attribution, and growth primitives that power the next generation of onchain apps, creators, and experiences.

• Own the product vision and strategy for the Base Ads / Spindl platform, from first principles through multi-year roadmap.
• Design and ship onchain ad primitives – targeting, budget/bidding, pacing, auction mechanics, and delivery – that work natively with Base’s infrastructure.
• Own the Spindl app UI: define workflows for campaign creation, analytics, billing, and publisher yield management; work with design to deliver a clean, developer- and creator-friendly experience.
• Define and track the key metrics for the ads platform: marketplace liquidity, fill rate, eCPM, advertiser ROI, publisher revenue, retention, fraud/abuse rates, and Base onchain value created
• Collaborate across Coinbase and Base (BD, ecosystem, growth, legal, compliance, finance, risk) to ensure products are safe, compliant, and aligned with our mission and regulatory obligations.
• Lead go-to-market and ecosystem adoption, including early-partner programs with top Base apps, creators, and protocols.
• Communicate clearly and often: align stakeholders on priorities, trade-offs, timelines, and progress; represent Spindl to senior leaders and external partners.
• Ownership:
  Own the quarterly desired outcome, product backlog, and week-to-week execution on a focused set of prioritized opportunities

• 5+ years of Product Management, shipping consumer-facing products end-to-end with proven cross-functional experience (e.g., BD, Marketing, Finance, Legal)
• Deep experience in ad tech - such as ads marketplaces, performance ads, attribution, audience segmentation, or growth optimization
• Strong familiarity with growth mechanics: funnels, loops, LTV/CAC dynamics, retention frameworks, and experimentation at scale
• Comfortable driving alignment across key stakeholders while keeping velocity high
• Inner drive to go beyond scope, think ahead of the curve, and raise the bar for what an onchain consumer product can be
• You excel in working in fast-moving environments where culture, product, and markets converge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• You’re onchain somehow: apps, trading, HODLing, NFT projects, DAOs.
• Experience building or scaling ads systems, social graphs, feeds, or creator monetization tools
• Experience in both offchain social growth mechanics and crypto-native product design principles
• Experience with marketplace dynamics (supply/demand optimization) or ranking and recommendation systems

Pay Transparency Notice:
Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility + equity eligibility + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

Pay Range:

$207,485—$244,100 USD
